2/12/2011 · You can adjust caster with adjustable upper or lower arms. It’s best to use lowers but uppers can be used if needed. You can also adjust caster with the lower control arm frame side pocket. There’s about an inch worth of adjustment but you need shims to go in between the adjustment shoe and back plate of the bracket.
7/13/2013 · I have a 2000 XJ with 4.5 lift, short arm, on 31.5-ish tires (265’s) and less than 5deg caster . The steering is solid, no loose parts, ball joints or tie rod ends, etc.
but it wanders badly on the road especially at freeway speeds. I’ve been looking at the offset ball joints as a fix. Want to get around 7deg caster if possible.

8/3/2005 · According to this method my caster would be 4 degrees which is probably right since I just installed a 3.5 inch lift and have not had the caster checked and adjusted at a shop yet. When I take it into the shop I’ll see what the caster is before the adjustment and see if it matches my findings.
